Ga Ga For Gingham

Gingham was all over the Resort 2011 Chanel Runway, it reminds me so much of Barbie...LOVE. I know that gingham will be big this spring/summer, and I've included one "look for less" item at the end of this post.

...and because I couldn't resist, this gorgeousness from Christian Louboutin's Resort 2011 Line:

Will you be partaking in the gingham trend this spring/summer?

Fall 2010 Fashion Report: Leopard

The Animal print clothing and accessories trend has been around for quite awhile, but the Fall/Winter 2010 runways were chalk full of leopard prints, more than ever before. See below for a few runway looks...
From Left To Right: Philip Lim, Dolce and Gabbana, Oscar De La Renta

From Left to Right: Blumarine, Moschino, Balmain

Here are my favorite leopard pieces for fall:

I love mixing different prints with leopard accessories, over the summer I've been big on floral dresses with my J Crew leopard belt around my waist. What are your opinions on mixing prints and the animal print craze for Fall/Winter 2010?

Fall 2010 Fashion: Army Green

Military influences are back again for Fall 2010, a trend I wasn't so hot on at first but now I can't get enough of Olive-green utility pieces. See below for Runway examples of this trend from the Fall 2010 Runway and then my own take on the trend.

...and how I would style olive hued clothing...

Are you guys loving or hating this trend?

Red Carpet Fashion: Draping

A huge trend right now on the red carpet is draping. I love this look; it's very Grecian, feminine and pretty, and adds some detail to otherwise plain pieces. Below are a few red carpet looks, and below are more casual, every day drapey dresses that are inspired by the gorgeous red carpet gowns.

Candy Colored Eyebrows

While at the gym tonight, I read the new issue of Allure and this trend featured really caught my eye. At the Fall 2010 Balenciaga fashion show, the models wore colorful hues on their eyebrows. Pat McGrath was the makeup artist who created the look by bleaching the models' eyebrows and then covered them with grease paints. McGrath's explanation: "I just thought about the playfulness and the fact that it was like children's toys and I was thinking 'where can I put it, the eyes are kind of boring, so do it on the brows."
I wouldn't pull this look except maybe for Halloween, but I do think it's fun and very creative! What do you guys think?

Beauty Trend: Pastel Hair

In addition to candy colored dresses, pastel hair color has become quite the trend this spring. I first saw the trend worn on Kelly Osbourne (I know she wasn't the first one to rock it), but now I see it all over! I'm kind of intrigued by it as I love pastels, but I probably won't be carrying this trend out.
Here are a couple websites that carry pastel colored extensions:

Would you add pastel color(s) to your hair? I would love to see pictures if any of you decide to do it!

Runway To Real Way Spring 2010 Fashion: Feathers

Runway...

To Real Way...

Let me first say that this is my least favorite Spring 2010 trend. I found several fashionable dresses with feather details during my search for this post, but most of them used Ostrich or Turkey feathers, which I am adamantly against. I do NOT support the use of animal parts used for clothing, so I chose not to post those items on my blog.
