The Maxi Dress

I'm not quite sure how I feel about Maxi dresses. I see them on other people and they look fabulous, but I fear they won't look good on me because I'm tall. If I do buy one, it will be classic and black like one of these:

The High-End

Eyebrows and Something New to My Blog

Sorry it's been so long since I've put up a post! I may have lost a follower because of it =(
Anyway, tomorrow I will be adding a new feature/idea to my blog where I show my wants and must-haves for summer, whether it's clothes, accessories, shoes, makeup or home decor at the high-end, middle, and low-end cost accompanied with the links to purchase.

Today I went and scheduled an appointment to have my eyebrows waxed, as I should do more often; they were out of control; but I had to wait an hour so I strolled around the shopping center. When I passed another salon, I was asked by a woman standing in the doorway, "Do you need your eyebrows done?" I took her up on the question and was surprised to see that this particular salon only does threading. I was so pleased with the experience, it does NOT hurt, and it's so much more precise than waxing. In addition, waxing tears your skin and makes the area itchy for weeks (at least for me, with sensitive skin). I will not be going back to waxing, and if you need your eyebrows done, I highly recommend threading if you can find a salon that does it.
If you're in the East Bay area, here's the link to my salon: ibar

Love 21 and My Hair

I just found out that Forever 21 will be adding a more sophisticated line to their store, I am so excited as I LOVE Forever 21 and lots of things there are not for women over 18. It debuts on May 19, but other than that I don't know other details.

Last week, I went back to brown hair. My goal was to be a platinum blonde but the process was just taking to0 long, the upkeep was annoying, and my boyfriend hated the blonde. Now, I don't think someone should change their look just because their significant other "doesn't like it", it's always been a pet peeve of mine, especially when people walk out of the salon loving their hair but come back the next week to change it because their boyfriend/husband/girlfriend/wife doesn't like it. BUT all the things added up--it just wasn't worth it to me. I promise to post pictures of the transofrmation soon.

5 Things That Make Me Happy and Hair Update

I have a case of blog writer's block so I'm posting about 5 things that make me happy through my personal pictures.

#1: My baby sister
#2: Wine Tasting in the Napa Valley

#3: My lover buns

#4: The beach in Kauai, Hawaii

#5: My kittens

So, about my hair...a couple months ago I decided to go blonde, as you may have seen earlier on my blog. I went to the salon to someone I trusted, who had cut my hair before, and the outcome was disastrous. I had orange hair with some blonde highlights. I couldn't stand it and was not, of course, going to go back to the same person so get it fixed, so I made an appointment the following weekend with another colorist who lightened up the orange pieces. I have gone to her twice now, but the last time she did a very sloppy job; I had very light spots on the top of my head, with orange roots, and darker ends. Fed up, I made an appointment with yet another stylist and she did a FABULOUS job. My hair is finally almost how I want it! I will post the timeline of pictures once it's exactly where I want it.
