Before I try selling this on ebay, I want to give you guys a chance to buy this MAC pigment. I bought it for a special occasion and used it once. It is a very rare item as it's only sold in the MAC Pro stores in San Francisco and Los Angeles. The color is "Vivid Pink" and retail is $18.50. If anyone wants it, please let me know with a reasonable offer; my e-mail is lynnmg87@yahoo.com. Thank you!!

Jimmy Choo for H&M
H&M has just announced that Jimmy Choo will be releasing a line of shoes and accessories as well as clothing on November 14, 2009. Unlike most, the shoe and accessory line will be followed by clothing to match rather than the other way around. According to Tamara Mellon, Founder and President of Jimmy Choo, "We are privileged to be among the fashion greats who have been affiliated with H&M so far, and to be designing a collection appealing to fashion savvy, street smart women, and to be including some great pieces for men, too. Jimmy Choo will bring to H&M a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection -- the perfect party pieces to buy now and then wear out that night!"

Home Decor
It's time to re-vamp the decor in our apartment. For 2 years, we've had black slipcovers on our hideous greenish tan couch and chair in the living room. I've always liked clean, light colors and have decided to buy cream colored slipcovers. Our living room will be similar to the one above; the accent colors in our living room are lilac and white and our apartment has an old hollywood theme. In addition to the new slipcovers, I really want to buy some houndstooth curtains like the ones in Tori Spellings house, as seen on the cover of her book, Mommywood. I've looked high and low online and cannot find them!! Do any of you know where I can find them? I will post before and after pictures once it is complete.

Ghosts
A few weeks ago, I watched White Noise for the first time, and on the special features part of the DVD, they had a special on EVP: Electronic Voice Phenomena. Since EVP is an integral part of the movie, this special shows the research of the AA-EVP, a non-profit educational association dedicated to the support of people who are interested in, or studying EVP. EVP can be described as: "EVP are anomalous, intelligible speech recorded in or produced by electronic devices, and for which no currently understood physical explanations can account." In the special, they show how EVP works and actual recordings. Some skeptics believe that these are pre-recorded by DJs, or other radio interference but the AA-EVP claims that they use brand new tapes to record Voice Phenomena; this is documented on the DVD.
I have always been interested in paranormal activity, but never experienced it myself aside from weird, eerie noises I've heard. I have a friend who has had paranormal experiences, all in the same place (an old apartment building); she is the one person I would believe about this sort of thing because she is very skeptical. I am interested to know if any of you believe in ghosts/paranormal activity or have had any experiences?

Beauty: Getting a Natural looking, Faux Tan
After trying almost every self tanner there is, I have finally met my match. I've been using St. Tropez Whipped Bronze Mousse for a few months now and have no complaints. I am naturally very, VERY white and using the mousse does not make me look orange at all like most other self tanners I've used. I've also tried the St. Tropez tanning lotion, and I have to say it does not compare to the mousse. I buy it online as I have never been able to find it in any stores, here is the link to buy: St. Tropez Whipped Mousse

Project Get My Booty in Shape
I've been thinking about posting about working out/toning up/losing weight for awhile...but didn't...and still don't have the guts to post my weight and/or pictures of myself 1/2 naked. I applaud those who do--I really wish I had the balls to do it. Anyway, I'm not overweight but I would really like to lose a few pounds and tone up A LOT. I was a swimmer all through high school and was in amazing shape, and want to get back to that place. Since high school, which was 5 years ago, I have gone up 2 sizes. I joined a gym in April and have been sporadically working out since then by going to spinning (avg. of 2 days per week) and lifting weights. I figured putting up posts about my progress would hold me more accountable to work out more and get this booty in shape. My goal is to work out 5+ days per week for at least an hour. I will try to post about my progress, and add a calendar and ticker to my blog for my daily progress.

Haute Culture Mini Garden
I think this is SO cool! It's an indoor mini garden by Paris designer Christophe Vialle. You can buy one with grass, peas or basil and choose your container color/style. I'm about to go ahead and get one of these; I'm a terrible plant mom and always kill my flowers/plants, probably because when they're out of sight (my patio), they're also out of mind. If I have this staring me in the face in my kitchen, I'll be sure to nurture it.

Betty Beauty
I just saw these at a beauty store/salon I frequent and think they're amazing and quite hilarious. No, I haven't tried any of them. Here's what they are in case you're still wondering: Betty Beauty is hair color for the hair "down there". They can be used to match the carpet to the drapes, or for fun with hot pink and other colors. What I found really comical, but a great idea (I must admit) is Bridal Betty. Yep, blue Betty for your "something blue" for your wedding. How genius is that?
Info on Betty Beauty:
*Not tested on animals
*1-3 applications per kit
*No ammonia or parabens in Betty products.

The Wave
On a recent trip to Target, I finally gave in and bought the Neutrogena Wave Power Cleanser that I've been eyeing for the past couple months. I hadn't heard any reviews about it, only that it's the "cheap" version of the Clarisonic Brush. After using it for only a couple days, I am in love. If you're thinking about getting the Clarisonic Brush but don't want to shell out $200, I think you'll be very happy with the $15 Wave.
Here's Neutrogena's claim:
1. 100% of women showed significantly deeper pore cleansing from its penetrating cool foam
2. Its massaging, vibrating action opens pores to remove dirt, oil, and makeup and stimulates the skin's surface
3. You'll see immediate softer, smoother skin after just one use.
My review:
* The Wave delivers the perfect degree of gentle exfoliation and never damages my skin
*Very easy to use, just attach the single use pad and wet it, put face wash on pad (I don't use the Neutrogena face wash, I use Origins)
*Love that I can use it in the shower and it's about the size of a bar of soap so doesn't take up much space
*Gentle enough to use everyday
Have any of you tried the Neutrogena Wave Power Cleanser, or compared it to the Clarisonic Brush?

The Romper
As with most new trends, I usually start out hating them, like the destroyed denim look which I came to LOVE, shiny leggings, and now the romper. I just came around and am beginning to like the idea of the romper more and more.

I was inspired by Kourtney Kardashian's romper in this picture (not sure who it's by) to add the one below to my shopping cart at Twelve by Twelve. What do you guys think? Do you like it? Or am I crazy for ordering an olive green romper?
