Right now I'm loving studded pyramid details on clothes, jewelry and shoes. I found this ring and bracelet, and although they're not the same thing, they are very similar. If you look on shopbop.com, they have a ton of pyramid detailed goodies.

New Beauty Trick
Ok, so maybe it's not "new", but it is to me. I've just started using white eyeliner on my upper and lower waterline to make my eyes look bigger and more awake. It makes a huge difference! It has become a part of my daily makeup routine; I use Sephora's slim pencil. I just looked on their website and the white is sold out, so if you're interested in the slim pencil by Sephora I would recommend stopping by your local store and picking it up but there are tons of other brands that I'm sure will do the trick!

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion Review
I just started using the Mario Badescu Drying lotion and I am very impressed. I've tried a couple other similar products but this stuff works the best. I am usually not acne prone, but during a certain time of the month, I break out a little around my chin. This stuff really zaps it--almost literally overnight. It's amazing. I've heard some others complain that it dries out your skin, so for people who already have dry skin-beware. I have combination skin and have not had any problems with it being too drying. Next up I will be purchasing the Mario Badescu Drying Cream. Have any of you tried it?

MAC High Def Collection & Jimmy Choo for H&M
Here are the 3 lipsticks from the MAC High Def collection. From left to right: Close To Real, High Def, and Resolutely Red. I am loving each one (although I haven't seen them in person yet). I've heard so many people rave about Close To Real and it looks like a fab peachy nude, which is a color I wear all the time. Has anyone tried the other two?
In June I wrote about Jimmy Choo coming out with a line for H&M and have finally been able to find some pictures for the line. I'm loving the studded details and can't wait to see them in person. H&M will have them in stores November 14, 2009.

Engagement Photos
I've just started thinking about an engagement photo shoot to send out as announcements and have seen some inspiring pictures but don't want to post them here...
My style is very glam and luxurious; the opposite of earthy and natural so you won't see me sprawled out in a field of daisies or wearing jeans and a T-shirt in the pictures. Have any ideas?
If any of you would be kind enough to share yours (if you have them), I would love to see!

Our Trip to Orlando
I just got home late last night from our fabulous trip to Orlando, Florida. My FIANCE (first time I've written that out, ahh!) and I went to both Universal Studios parks, Epcot, and Disneyworld. The last night of our trip, we went to Downtown Disney and ate at Portobello, a delicious Italian restaurant. I wasn't suspicious at all that Chris was going to propose to me there even though he ordered the most expensive thing on the menu + the most expensive red wine (he rarely drinks wine). Out of the blue he said, "will you marry me?" after we'd started eating...and of course I said yes after being completely shocked and asking if he was joking. He told me he had asked my dad a month ago for his permission to ask for my hand in marriage (very old fashioned!) and that he planned to ask me on this trip.
I can't wait to start planning my wedding and of course I will be sharing every detail with you guys and asking for ideas and advice...but don't worry, I promise my blog won't become a full-fledged bridal extravaganza!
Here are a few pictures from our trip....
Magic Kingdom @ Disneyworld
Universal Studios
Our yummy dinner @ Portobello in Orlando, where Chris asked me to marry him
Right after I said YES!!
*I don't have my ring yet, I will be designing it and will share pictures once I get it!

Going Away
Hello, lovelies! I wanted to let you know that I am off very early tomorrow morning to Disneyworld in Florida so my blog may not be updated until I get back, 9/19. I will be bringing my laptop so there is a possibility I will be blogging and I will be able to keep in touch with all of you. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Update on the Oversized/Boyfriend Gold Watch
Awhile back I did a post (click here to view) on boyfriend watches and listed 3 price points and a few different brands. Well, I've just found an even cheaper option than the "cheap" one in that post! This watch is Merona from Target and it's only $14.99. It comes in silver as well. Unfortunately it is not available for purchase online, but if you're interested, go to your local Target and check it out!

The Look For Less: Heart Stud Earrings
Jennifer Meyer Heart Stud Earrings, $225
Anna Sheffield for Target Heart and Keys Earring Set, $24.99
I actually like the cheaper option better because the earrings are little heart lockets! How cute is that? I will have to get these. There's also a matching necklace.

Tutorial: How To De-Pot MAC Eyeshadow
Here's my version of how to de-pot MAC eyeshadow. This method will work with other eyeshadows that come in similar packaging to MAC's. Hopefully this will be a helpful tutorial for some of you!
Step 5: Place the eyeshadow on top of the wax paper (this will melt the glue that is holding the metal part of the shadow to the plastic part). Wait 1-3 minutes depending on how hot your iron gets.
Step 6: While waiting for the glue to melt, cut a small circle (about 1") out of your magnet (this will go on the bottom of your eyeshadow)
And you're done!
I got this palette after I had collected about 20 eyeshadows, so I de-potted them all. Now I buy the eyeshadows for the palette so they're already in pan form to just drop into the palette (they're cheaper than the ones in the pot, too!!)
UPDATE: I have had a few requests to list the names of the eyeshadows. Since I didn't label them, the ones that have been de-potted are unknown. Thankfully, the ones that come in palette pan form have labels on the bottom.
Going Across:
1. Tempting
5. Barbie Loves MAC in Playful
6. Shroom
7. Brun
8. Smut
9. Print
10. Kid
11. Carbon
12. Smoke and Diamonds (the one I just put in)
14. Blanc Type
Here's what you'll need:
1. MAC Eyeshadow
1. MAC Eyeshadow
2. A magnet
3. MAC Eyeshadow Palette
4. Scissors
5. Wax paper
Step 1: Take your knife and wedge it into the tiny crack
Step 5: Place the eyeshadow on top of the wax paper (this will melt the glue that is holding the metal part of the shadow to the plastic part). Wait 1-3 minutes depending on how hot your iron gets.
Step 6: While waiting for the glue to melt, cut a small circle (about 1") out of your magnet (this will go on the bottom of your eyeshadow)
Step 8: Take your knife and push through the hole that has melted on the bottom to push out the metal part of your eyeshadow
